history of our store

As a young girl many of owner Tammy Giaimo’s clothes were hand sewn by her mother. Tammy would spend countless hours in the fabric stores while her mother selected the best fabrics and notions to create the perfect Easter or special occasion dress for her and her five sisters. Of course, all dresses were same style but each daughter got a different color. The effort and craftsmanship that Tammy’s mother put into each dress gave her the desire to continue to find quality craftsmanship in clothing when she decided to reopen the 135 year old Jacobson’s Stores in 2004.

At that time many high end designers were charging a premium for quality fabrics and so after six years Tammy decided to change the name and concept to Continuum so she could provide the community with wide variety of quality contemporary designers at a fraction of the premier designer costs.

Continuum opened in 2010 and offers the latest in fashion from designers such as Trina Turk, Parker Lifestyle, Ramy Brook, Bailey 44, Sundays, SEN, Karina Grimaldi, 7 for All Mankind, Hudson, Joe’s Jeans, Paige, Vince, Splendid, Astars and Black Halo.

Continuum also offers jewelry from Kendra Scott, LaCosta Organic Jewelry, Julie Vos and Taylor and Tessier.

Also as an avid tennis player in a community that is surrounded by country clubs she decided to bring on a few of her favorite tennis clothing lines including Lucky in Love, Lacoa sports and Denise Cromwell.

All designers chosen to be represented at the store must be of the highest quality fabrication and design in order to obtain Tammy’s desire to maintain the level of quality and craftsmanship she became accustomed to as a child. Clothing must wear well, wash or dry clean well why maintaining the structure and the quality of the fabric.
